I'm sheltering in the Telephone Pioneers Shelter in New York state. I met E Ticket tonight at the shelter. It was such a beautiful hike today. There were fields and flowers that smelled so sweet. There were vines full of ripe, purple grapes that we picked and ate. There was a train stop that led to New York City right on the trail. There was a pizza truck and a giant slice of New York cheese pizza and a Pepsi for lunch. I got water at the Landscape store spigot and used a flush toilet and washed my hands with soap and hot, running water. There was a giant, old tree that we all tried to hug and couldn't span it completely. I love New York!
